All That Matters

Many people have tried their hand in solving the riddle of mind and matter. What are they? Are they the same thing, looked two different ways? Or are totally different from each other? If yes, how are they related? Alternatively, its apparent separation just an illusion?

Some people say there is no need to ask these questions, because how can any responses to pay rent? Get your next meal? find a partner, you can have with children? These people may be right, but the mystery has fascinated, yet some of the greatest thinkers.

A space modern life is directly affected by this branch of philosophy, artificial intelligence (AI).

When you think about it, is not a little surprising that only may have a thought in your mind about a cup of tea, and immediately things start to happen in the world matter without you. The arm starts moving, the fingers to grasp, move the cup in a specific way to reach your mouth. How can this happen? Or just think of his Fifth Symphony of Beethoven, and produces notes in a paper, and bands playing and people heard vibrations, and the ideas of Beethoven are now in our minds when they were not there before.

One of the most influential thinkers of all time was René Descartes. It was he who made the famous statement: "I think therefore I am." The idea is that the only thing you can be absolutely sure of is that you believe in something, then there must be a thinker to see how to think. Descartes was a dualist who believed that mind and matter are two, but they are completely different entities, which should solve the problem of interaction: how do you explain that you have a thought on a bagel and soon your body is in motion at the donut shop and join a donut. Descartes decided that the animals are pure automatons, like machines, but humans are different because they have souls. In his view, this soul is in the pineal gland, a small organ in the brain (which is now considered as a relic of evolution useless as the appendix) and that was where the interaction takes place. Descartes, and those that are similar are called theories of interaction. Successor of Descartes, Arnold Guelinex, proposed a theory of psychophysical parallelism. So when you see a point to watch at the time, you hear B clock strike, making it appear that one hit the other, when in fact they are quite independent. The same applies to the mind and matter, the body and mind are separate "liquidation" of God in the beginning of creation, so when you get the desire to walk, while events are not purely physical occurs in the legs related to the cause their journey. Another theory is that when events occur in the material world, then this God that we think are affected by them.

All these ideas we are little more than puppets, with God pulling the strings. Would not it be easier to have created a world where mind and matter are the same thing, so did not need to interact? Spinoza attempted to resolve this problem by saying that not occur, but they were like two sides of same coin. It really believe that everything is God, so that mind and matter are two different aspects of the Creator.

Will I make more money at a major retail store if I have a bachelor's degree or is experience all that matters?

don't go there.
